Original World started out as Spirit of India in 1997, sharing the cultural riches of a country that is fascinating, endlessly diverse, and somewhat daunting to tour independently. Due to strong client interest in extending their travels beyond India, we expanded our destinations in 1999 to include Tibet, Nepal, Burma, Bhutan, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, China, and Mongolia.
What really set our tours, and our clients, apart was our focus on ancient cultures and our passion for connecting with local people. With that in mind we have continued to develop exciting and varied destinations, and now, as Original World, offer a broad portfolio with deep, local expertise in the Middle East, Africa and Southeastern Europe in addition to our flagship Spirit of India and Spirit of Asia destinations.
