Visit Tibet with us and experience the colorful, fascinating Tibetan culture as we explore the towns of Lhasa, Gyantse and Shigatse. A brief flight over the Himalayas, during which you may be able to see Mt. Everest, takes us to Lhasa, the political, economic and cultural center of the region. On this Tibet tour, we will have the privilege of exploring Tibet’s most revered temples and monasteries, including the massive Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple, bustling with pilgrims. As we drive between the towns you will see some of the most stunning mountain scenery, with soaring Himalayan peaks covered in snow, turquoise blue lakes, and prayer flags fluttering at the mountain passes.

Day 1-2: Meet in Kathmandu Tour Patan and Kathmandu City.
Day 3-5: Lhasa Visit Jokhang Temple, Potala Palace, Kangyur Stupa and Norbulingka, the former Summer Palace of the Dalai Lama. Browse the Barkhor square and market around Jokhang Temple, and interact with nomads and pilgrims. Excursion to Drepung and Sera Monasteries.
Day 6: Samye Relish the site of the magnificent and unique 8th century Samye Monastery. The first floor is of Tibetan architectural style, the second Han style and the third Indian style.
Day 7: Yamdrok Lake Drive to Kampa La Pass 4793m to view turquoise Yamdrok Tso, one of Tibet's sacred lakes.

Day 8-9: Gyantse - Shigatse Visit Pelkor Choede Monastery which accommodates the three sects of Tibetan Buddhism and the reknowned Kumbum, with its extraordinary multifaceted architecture. Also enjoy Shalu, the only monastery in Tibet known to possess a significant collection of 14th century Newari style murals.
Day 10: Shigatse - Lhasa Visit the great Tashilhunpo Monastery, the seat of the Panchen Lama, originally built in 1447. Enroute back to Lhasa, we stop to see the Tibetan carpet weavers.
Day 11: Fly to Kathmandu
