South Africa Tour

Travel to South Africa
HIGHLIGHTS
  • Enjoy the quaint towns of the Winelands and Garden Route
  • Discover picturesque and historic Capetown
  • Visit fascinating Johannesburg, with its enlightening museums and a tour of Soweto township

Travel to South Africa for an unparalleled combination of cosmopolitan cities, spectacular game viewing, rich cultures, and unsurpassed scenery. Our trip begins in Cape Town, one of the world’s most beautiful cities. We stay at a wonderful historic guesthouse situated in the De Waterkant area, the old Slave Quarter. This historical part of Cape Town is now the thriving, artsy heart of this vibrant city.

We visit South Africa’s Cape of Good Hope and head to the Winelands, traveling through picturesque countryside dotted with vineyards, Cape Dutch homes, and historical villages. Then it’s on to the Garden Route for phenomenal coastal scenery, and optional hiking, kayaking and canoeing through pristine nature reserves.

You may end your tour in Johannesburg or continue with us into the North west to the real African bushveld of the Limpopo Province, Kruger National Park and into Mozambique!

You can elect to add-on a visit to the awe-inspiring Victoria Falls, one the seven natural wonders of the world.

Enjoy your stay in the historic and vibrant De Waterkant area, as we explore the city with a cable car up Table Mountain, excursion to the Cape of Good Hope, and visits to townships.

Day 5: The Winelands
Travel to Franschhoek, a lovely village in the heart of the Cape Winelands along picturesque backroads, passing whitewashed Cape Dutch homes, the Berg River, assorted vineyards, stopping periodically for winetasting. Enjoy a walking tour of historic Stellenbosch, a delightful university town that many consider to be the most beautiful in all of South Africa.
