Soak up the ambiance, literally, in the spectacular hot spring baths of Pamukkale and the ancient city of Hierapolis.
Our travel in Turkey continues to Antalya, with an excursion to the ancient Pamphylian, Hellenistic and Roman cities of Perge and Aspendos. Onward to Konya, the final resting place of the celebrated Sufi poet Rumi. We continue to Cappadocia where nature has scoured surrealistic moonscape shapes and the persecuted Christians dug underground cities during the 9th century. Our exploration of the wonders of Turkey culminates in Bursa, known as the “green city” for its many parks and gardens. Here we enjoy a relaxed walking tour of mosques, museums, mausoleums and Ressamlar Sokak (Painters' Street), where local artists work in the open air.
